| Saving Water
|
| |
| Three Valleys Water is committed to encouraging customers to use water wisely, and to reducing water wasted through leakage. Water is a finite resource and we need to ensure there is sufficient available now and in the future. Tackling water efficiency is a key issue as we struggle with low levels of rainfall. The south east of England receives 50% less rainfall on average than the rest of the UK* and also has one of the highest |

consumption rates in the country. We've written a booklet which explains why water is becoming more scarce in our region and provides some useful tips for becoming more water efficient.
A country's water supply is determined by precipitation: water that is collected above ground and underground after rainfall. A water shortage occurs when customer demand exceeds rainfall. We all need to make a small effort to be water wise. Look at the links on the right hand side for more information on saving water. |
